Verify that a domain can actually receive e-mail. The tool resolves the MX records, sorts them by priority, then connects to the primary mail exchanger and reports which of the SMTP, IMAP and POP3 ports answer – including the greeting banner where the protocol allows it.
Missing MX records mean the domain cannot receive mail at all. A closed port 25 on the primary MX will usually cause delivery failures.
